In December 2022, Salieu was sentenced to nearly three years in prison for his involvement in a violent disorder incident and using a smashed bottle as an offensive weapon in 2018. He was released in September 2024 and wasted no time in reconnecting with his craft, dropping tracks like “Belly,” which hint at his reflections on the time spent away and his determination to reclaim his spot in the UK rap scene.

Since his release, Pa Salieu has recorded 6 tracks and freestyles in total, with four of the releases making it to his forthcoming mixtape. 

The upcoming mixtape also features an exciting lineup of collaborations with African rappers like Black Sherif, Byron Messia, and Nigeria’s Odumodublvck, which indicates a diverse sonic palette that reflects his African roots and street influences.
