The couple, who made their relationship public earlier this year with matching Instagram soft launches and a co-starring role in Jux’s hit love song “Ololufe Mi”, featuring Tanzanian international star Diamond Platnumz, wrapped up their lavish celebrations on the 28th of May in spectacular fashion. The tagline for the day? Go gold or go home. And everyone did just that.

From Lagos to Dar es Salaam, the celebrations had already been a continent-wide tour of tradition, elegance, and romance. But the Tanzanian finale, dubbed “the big one” by the groom himself, took the cake.

Held at an opulent venue decked out with rich floral arrangements and cultural fusion elements, the ceremony brought the very best of East and West Africa together. Photos of the couple were framed with golden drapery, blending seamlessly into the shimmering backdrop of sequins, lace, and embroidery.

While soft pinks and greens shaped the earlier ceremonies — from the Yoruba traditional wedding in Lagos on April 17 to the white wedding two days later — the final Tanzanian celebration pivoted into bold, unapologetic glamour. Gold dominated the day, with guests interpreting the theme through floor-length gowns dripping in sequins, daring cuts, and dramatic silhouettes. Some added black accents to ground their looks, creating a regal contrast that felt every bit as powerful as the moment itself.

As expected, African fashion did not disappoint, but Tanzanians in particular brought a sartorial fire that lit up the event. Women floated into the venue in gowns that sparkled with every step, each one a unique expression of personal style. East Africa made a fashion statement, and it rang loud and proud.

Actress Iyabo Ojo’s daughter, Priscilla, and Tanzanian music heartthrob Juma Jux looked every bit the royal couple. Sharing a tender photo captioned “Forever together” on social media, the newlyweds were radiant, representing a true symbol of cross-cultural love done right.

Priscilla stunned in a dazzling white gown embroidered with gold appliqué and paired with a flowing veil, while Jux kept it classically handsome in a tailored white suit with subtle gold embellishments. Their chemistry was undeniable, their joy contagious.
