Asake Submits Four Entries for 2027 Grammy Awards Consideration

Nigerian Afrobeats star Asake is reportedly targeting the 2027 Grammy Awards with four submissions spanning multiple categories, including Album of the Year, Best Global Music Album, Best African Music Performance and Best Dance Pop Recording.

According to reports, the submissions include ‘M$NEY’, his latest album, alongside “JOGODO”, his collaboration with Wizkid, “GRATITUDE”, and “WORSHIP”, featuring DJ Snake. The reported entries place Asake in consideration across the Grammys’ General Field, Global Music, African Music and Dance-Pop categories.

The reported submissions reflect the singer’s expanding ambitions beyond the African music category. While “JOGODO” is reportedly entered for Best African Music Performance, “GRATITUDE” is listed for Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Best African Music Performance. Meanwhile, ‘M$NEY’ is reportedly being considered for Album of the Year and Best Global Music Album, with “WORSHIP” submitted for Best Dance Pop Recording.

Asake has previously received two Grammy nominations in the Best African Music Performance category. His first came in 2024 for “Amapiano”, featuring Olamide, followed by a 2025 nomination for “MMS”, his collaboration with Wizkid off his ‘Lungu Boy’ album. He has yet to secure a Grammy win.

The 2027 Grammy nominations are scheduled to be announced on November 16, 2026, ahead of the ceremony on February 7, 2027. Asake’s reported submissions remain subject to the Recording Academy’s eligibility and voting processes, and the entries should not be confused with confirmed nominations.
