Stonebwoy To Headline Historic BHIM Fest at OVO Arena Wembley
In a defining chapter for Ghanaian music on the global stage, BET Award-winning Afro-dancehall star Stonebwoy will headline the 2026 edition of his flagship BHIM Festival at London’s OVO Arena Wembley on Saturday, August 15. The self-produced show marks the first time a Ghanaian artist has headlined the iconic 12,500-capacity venue in its more than 80-year history, transforming a long-running Accra institution into an international cultural statement.
Doors open at 18:00 for what organizers describe as a major expansion of BHIM Fest beyond West Africa. The festival, which began as a community celebration of Afrodancehall culture in Ashaiman, Ghana, has grown into one of the country’s most celebrated annual music events. It has delivered 10 successful editions, regularly drawing tens of thousands of fans and selling out Accra Sports Stadium, with the milestone 10th edition reportedly packing in around 60,000. Past lineups have featured Jamaican dancehall heavyweights Beenie Man and Busy Signal, Davido, Mr. P of P-Square, Morgan Heritage, and others, bridging African and Caribbean sounds.
The London date represents the logical next step after Stonebwoy’s progressive UK success: sold-out or strong shows at O2 Academy Islington in 2021, Electric Brixton in 2023, and O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire in 2025. Taking BHIM Fest to Wembley underscores years of consistent growth, strategic international touring, and his role as a leading export of Ghanaian music. His catalog blends Afrodancehall, reggae, Afrobeats, and amapiano influences; career highlights include the 2015 BET Best International Act award, becoming the first Ghanaian artist to chart on Billboard with Anloga Junction, and recent releases in the Torcher series: The Torcher EP and Torcher II.
Confirmed guest acts include Ghanaian favorites DopeNation, Samini, Kwabena Kwabena, and Ofori Amponsah, alongside Jux, Mista Silva, Mr. P, and Jamaican dancehall artist Stylo G. The bill promises a high-energy night of Afrodancehall, reggae, and related sounds tailored for the large Ghanaian, African, and Caribbean diaspora communities in the UK, as well as broader London audiences.
