Lojay Postpones Release of Debut Album ‘XOXO’
Lojay’s highly anticipated debut album ‘XOXO‘, originally scheduled for release this Friday, August 22, has been postponed. A new release date is yet to be confirmed.
The singer shared the update in a heartfelt post on his X (formerly Twitter) page, explaining that the decision came after two years of intense work on the project.
“My people, I’ve been working on this album for the last 2 years, and I’ve put so much of myself into it. There have been a few things out of my control that mean I need just a little more time before I can share it with you,” Lojay wrote.
“This being my debut album, it’s so important to me that when you press play, it feels timeless. After all this time, I want to be sure it’s exactly right. So we’re moving it back by a few weeks to get it there.”

The delay has stirred mixed reactions among fans, some expressing frustration after waiting years for his debut, while others have defended the move, noting that great music requires patience.
‘XOXO’ is already preceded by singles like “Somebody Like You”, “Mwah”, and “Tenner”, which showcase Lojay’s knack for emotive delivery and lush production. If those releases are any indication, the eventual drop promises to be a soulful, carefully crafted journey into Lojay’s world, one fans will likely find worth the wait.
