Burna Boy Headlines Rolling Loud India 2026 Lineup in Mumbai

Burna Boy is bringing Afrobeats to one of hip-hop’s biggest festival platforms as he headlines the 2026 edition of Rolling Loud India, scheduled for December 12 and 13 in Mumbai. The Nigerian superstar joins an international bill featuring Metro Boomin, Big Sean, Skepta, ScHoolboy Q and Karan Aujla, positioning the festival as a meeting point for rap, Afrobeats and the wider sounds shaping contemporary global music.

The two-day event will open on Saturday, December 12, with Burna Boy, American record producer Metro Boomin and rapper Big Sean among the leading acts. Sunday, December 13, will feature British grime heavyweight Skepta, American rapper ScHoolboy Q and Indian Punjabi music star Karan Aujla. The lineup brings together artists with distinct audiences and musical identities, reflecting Rolling Loud’s continued ambition to connect established international names with the regional scenes driving hip-hop culture forward.

Burna Boy’s inclusion is particularly significant for African music. Over the past several years, the Grammy-winning artist has become one of the continent’s most recognisable musical exports, carrying Afrobeats and his self-described approach to African Giant-sized global stardom onto major international stages. His catalogue, which moves between Afrofusion, dancehall, hip-hop and Caribbean influences, makes him a natural fit for a festival whose identity is rooted in contemporary urban music. His appearance in Mumbai also extends the reach of Nigerian music into a market with its own fast-growing hip-hop and independent music communities.

The supporting lineup broadens that international conversation. GoldLink and Steel Banglez bring additional sounds from the global rap and production landscape, while Indian acts including Seedhe Maut, Joriana and Wazir Patar provide a local dimension to the festival. Seedhe Maut, in particular, have built a strong following within India’s alternative hip-hop scene, while Wazir Patar represents the continuing influence of Punjabi music and production on the country’s contemporary soundscape. The result is a programme that places international headliners alongside artists with established connections to their home audiences.

The festival follows Rolling Loud India’s debut edition in 2025, which reportedly attracted approximately 65,000 fans. That first outing established a foundation for the brand’s expansion into the Indian market, bringing its familiar combination of large-scale rap performances, merchandise, food and festival experiences to a new audience. The 2026 edition builds on that momentum with a lineup spanning several generations and branches of contemporary music.

Tickets reportedly start at ₹5,500 and are available through the District app. Organisers are positioning the event as an all-ages experience, with live performances and wider festival attractions forming part of the two-day programme.

For Rolling Loud, the Mumbai edition represents another opportunity to adapt its hip-hop-focused festival identity to a market with a distinct musical culture. For Burna Boy, it adds another major international platform to a career defined by the movement of African music across borders. And for fans, the pairing of one of Afrobeats’ biggest names with leading figures from American rap, British grime and India’s own hip-hop scene offers a compelling snapshot of how far contemporary music now travels.

With December approaching, Rolling Loud India 2026 is shaping up to be a significant meeting of global and local sounds. Burna Boy’s presence at the top of the bill gives the festival a strong African connection, placing Nigerian music firmly within a broader conversation about the artists, audiences and scenes influencing popular music around the world.
